Well then this is the list for you! Here are the top 15 movies to get you in the Halloween spirit without being too scared to turn the lights out.

 

#1 Hocus Pocus

Year: 1993 – Rating: PG

A young boy moves to Salem and accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (kids, am I right?). A magical cat aids the children in a quest to prevent the witches from becoming immortal!

 

#2 It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

Year: 1966 – Rating: E

Linus believe in the Great Pumpkin but his friends do not. See how the Peanuts gang likes to spend their Halloween!

 

#3 Casper

Year: 1995 – Rating: PG

Casper is a lonely ghost living in an abandoned house. Casper quickly grows attached to a girl named Kat who moves into the home. Their relationship has it’s ups and downs, caused by Casper’s grumpy uncles, the people trying to find treasure in the home, and of course the fact that Casper is a ghost.

A hard working father promises to take his family on a vacation. While on the way he gets a call about a job he just cannot resist, at a creepy mansion the family isn’t all too thrilled about.

Alright, this one is a show. But it has the run time of a movie so it makes the cut! A visually stunning story of two brothers getting lost in the Unknown and meeting all kinds of strange folks on their adventure to get home.

 

 

#12 The Nightmare Before Christmas

The pumpkin king of Halloweentown decides that he wants to take a go at running Christmas! Watch as this fearful creatures put together an, interesting, holiday season.

On Halloween night all the villains come and take over Mickey’s house! Mickey and his friends have to plan to take back their house from these fiends!
